Over at BBLeaks they are reporting that RIM and Motorola have settled on their patent disputes suit with the ITC (International Trade Commission) from earlier in the year. RIM will be making up-front payments and further royalties to Motorola. Both parties will benefit from cross-licensing and transfer certain patents between each other.
The original suit included 5 of Motorla’s patents related to Wi-Fi access, power management and user interfaces that RIM was using.
