Google Goggles expanding reach in marketing experiment

Google announced last week that they are partnering with Buick, Disney, Diageo, T-Mobile, and Delta Airlines to extend what Google Goggles brings you. If you don’t know what Goggles is let me give you a quick rundown.  Basically, you use the Goggles app (available on Android and iPhone) and take photos of just about anything and you can initiate a Google search based on the photo.

In this marketing experiment Goggles will recognize ads from these brands and direct you to mobile content. You’re already taking photos for your Facebook, Twitter, etc why not get mobile info for those photos you’re taking with your phone.
