Apple acquires Liquidmetal Technologies, now what?

Gizmodo has an odd yet interesting story.  Apple has purchased the patents and rights of a company called Liquidmetal Technologies.  The Youtube video below is pretty wild and it will be interesting to see what Apple does with this.

Below are some of benefits of their technology:

• 2.5 times the strength of commonly used titanium alloy with less weight
• 1.5 times the hardness of stainless steel with less weight
• 2-3 times more resistant to permanent deformation than conventional metals
• Non-corrosive
• Stain and rust proof
• Allows thinner walls in casings, with greater strength
• Allows for large surfaces maintaining thin skins without deformation
• Scratch resistant
• High thermal and electrical conductivity

I have been pegging Google as Skynet but perhaps Apple is the company we need to watch out for to be “self-aware”.
