Boy oh boy when it rains it pours. Yesterday we posted specs of the BlackBerry Dakota and now we have info on the next generation Torch (2) , Curve (Apollo), and what possibly could be sold as Storm 3 (Monaco).

Torch 2

The second iteration of the Torch is to look similar to the previous version. No longer is it packing the same 600 Mhz processor but instead a 1.2 Ghz proc. It doesn’t look like this will be running a QNX OS but see if these specs will tide you over until then. Expected release for this device is 3Q on AT&T.

  • 1.2GHz processor
  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • Tri-band HSPA 14.4Mbps
  • 3.2-inch VGA 640 x 480 capacitive display
  • 8GB built-in memory
  • 512MB RAM
  • Bluetooth 2.1
  • GPS
  • NFC
  • 5-megapixel camera with flash
  • Magnetometer
  • Accelerometer
  • Proximity sensor
  • 1300 mAh battery
  • BlackBerry OS 6.1
  • OpenGL ES
  • 14.6mm thin

Curve (Apollo)

The next generation of the Curve seems to look more like the 8900 than the 85xx series. Check the specs below.

  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • Tri-band UMTS/HSPA 7.2Mbps
  • Bluetooth 2.1
  • Wi-Fi b/g/n
  • GPS
  • NFC
  • 512MB of eMMC, 512MB of RAM
  • 5-megapixel camera with flash
  • HVGA 480 x 360 display
  • 1050 mAh battery
  • Tavor MG-1 800MHz CPU
  • BlackBerry OS 6.1
  • 11mm thin

There isn’t an expected release date but hopefully we find more on this soon.

Lastly the Storm3 (Monaco) we posted about awhile back is supposed to go into production soon. RIM is to be done with SurePress with the next release and looks similar to a Torch minus the slide out keyboard. Here are some of the supposed specs:

  • 3.7-in touchscreen
  • trackpad
  • 512MB RAM
  • OS 6
  • possibly a 1GHz processor

Can’t wait to see these devices come out!
